2023 Cup Of CMR: Victoria Utd Outplayed Champion, Sets Up A Quarter Final Clash Against Fovu.

MTN Elite two champions Victoria United will play Fovu Club of Baham in the quarter-finals of this season’s Cup of Cameroon.
This comes after the boys of Coach Guy Kanguia dismantled North Regional league side Champions de Garoua 4-0 at the Coton Sports Complex in Garoua.
Captain of the day Alingang Emmanuel scored twice, while Ikose Njuma and Bikeck scored the third and fourth goals as Opopo makes it to the quarter-finals for the first time since 2017.
The win for the 2017 Cup of Cameroon semi-finalists will see them take on the 2001 champions Fovu of Baham in the quarter-finals.
It should be noted that Fovu defeated 11-time champions Canon of Yaounde on post-match penalties, after a 1-1 draw in regular playtime.
Elsewhere, PWD of Bamenda continue their hunt for a second Cup of Cameroon title after seeing off AS FAP by one goal to nothing.
The biggest game of this stage was Coton Sport versus Eding – which saw the 2018 champions, Eding emerging winners of the clash.
Dynamo, Stade Bertoua, Colombe and Stade de Bandjoun have also booked their place in the last eight.
