Adulf Nkembe Signs For Mexican Second-tier Club FC Cancun.

Published on

Joined elite one top scorer Adulf Enow Nkembe has joined Mexican second tier side FC Cancun on a four-year deal.

The former AS Fortuna forward was joined top scorer, with Bertrand Mani of Colombe, with 20 goals each.

His 20 goals helped AS Fortuna finish eighth in Pool B in the just-ended elite one championship.

The 22-year-old now takes on a new challenge in the Mexican second tier with FC Cancun, which is currently occupying the seventh spot in an 18-club league. They have won three games, drawn two and lost two.

This is Adolf Enow’s third spell abroad, having been on the books of Albania’s KS Kastrioti in 2018 and  MSL side Las Vegas Lights in 2019.

It should be noted that AS Fortuna has now exported at least one top striker in Cameroon’s top flight championship in the last three seasons: Thierry Akono scored close to eight goals in the 2019/20 season and joined Tanzania’s AZAM in 2020. In the 2020/21 season, Etouga Mbella scored close to 13 league goals and was signed by Asante Kotoko of Ghana.
