Andre Onana Could Be A Manchester United Player In The Days Ahead.
Manchester United is on the verge to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana for close to £50 Million.
The 27-year-old will replace David De Gea after spending 12 seasons with the Red Devils.
The BBC reported that Manchester United have reached an agreement with the representatives of the Cameroonian goalkeeper for a five year deal – with an option of an additional year.
But the BBC also reported that the negotiations between both clubs are yet to be completed.
However, the deal could be completed this week to enable the former Ajax goalkeeper to join the Man United squad for their pre-season tour in the United States.
Manager Erik Ten Hag is confident Andre will be a perfect replacement for goalkeeper De Gea – as he looks forward to reuniting with his former keeper while at Ajax.
Onana spent seven and a half years with Ajax Amsterdam – before joining Inter Milan in July 2022.
The Champions League finalists made a total of eight clean sheets in 24 Serie A matches – and eight in 13 champions league matches – the most by a goalkeeper in a single season.
Andre Onana will become Manchester United’s signing this summer after Mason Mount who joined the club last month from Chelsea.
