Elite One: Coton Sport Forward Marou Souaibou Bags Player Of The Month Award For April 2022

Marou Souaibou has been named the David Mayebi Player of the Month for April 2022, earning the prize for the Time time this season.
Overall it is Marou Souaibou first David Mayebi Player of the Month award, moving him to within one of the record jointly held by Emmanuel Tegenmo who won the last edition and Cedric Martial Zemba
Coton Sport were fantastic with a whelming few weeks performance, picking up 13 point in the whole of April after a disappointing start of their campaign in the Elite one and a poor outing at the CAF Confederation cup. With Marou Souaibou put in some good performances, he was able to take his team to a comfortable position in Pool B.
It comes after a month in which the Coton Sport forward scored his 5th Elite one goal and provide six assist in five outing without a defeat a brilliant comeback thanks to his excellent performances
The Cameroon international topped a six-man shortlist that also featured
- Cedric Martial Zemba lkOung of Apejes de Mtou who was recently made player of the first phase on the side of the academicians
- Joseph Julian Momasso, author of a very good start of the season with UMS of Loum, who was
recently called up by Rigobert Song for the national team. - Marou SOUAIBOU of Cotton Sport of Garoua. Author of 5 goals and six assist in five games
- Emmanuel Tegenmo of YOSA. Last winner of this trophy.

Souaibou Marou (23) was awarded on Wednesday May 15, 2022 by National Union of Cameroonian Footballers (SYNAFOC) for the David Mayebi player of the month award
Marou Souaibou stood above his teammates and opponents. His dribbling has been second to none and he has applied some deft touches for an assist and goals during this time. The biggest improvement to his game: he has been fit and available for selection more often than not.
He featured in every minute February and April and was a key figure, if not, the best thing next to Kamilou Daouda. Marou Souaibou rightfully beat his opponent from five different club to win the award.
