End Of Honeymoon For CUSA As They Submit To Options Sports At The Middle Farms Arena.
Catholic University SA suffers only their second defeat this term as they were humbled by Options Sports Academy of Limbe in a match day 11 clash of the Southwest Regional Championship.
Chinda Rivaldo’s first-half goal was enough to see the Limbe base side clinch all three points at the Middle Farms Stadium in Limbe.
Despite Catholic University’s efforts to get an equaliser, the Limbe base side was up to the task to frustrate any goal-scoring attempt by the Saints and Scholars.
The defeat for CUSA means – this is only their second defeat of the campaign – and their first defeat in 900 minutes of football this season. However, though they lost their game against Cinyodev on match day three – after filling an illegitimate player, they were deducted three points from their total accumulated points.
Since then, they have gone a total of 630 minutes of football without a defeat or draw. This is the first time this season that they have failed to score in a 90-minute football match this season.
The boys of coach Enobi Brandon still summit Pool C with 27 points – and are two points clear of Options Sports on the second position with three games to go.
The next stop for the saints is against South West United, while Options take on Ajax Lions of Tiko.
