Essa Pius Tabi: The Man of Destiny Gunning for Fecafoot Executive Committee Seat.
Indomitable Lions cult hero and 1991 Olympic gold medalist Essa Pius Tabi is the latest high profile name to manifest interest in the executive committee post at the national Fecafoot.
Elections into the board of the FA are due on December 11 and the defender who made a huge impression while playing with Albert Roger feels he can contribute his own quota towards the growth and development of Cameroon football.
He joins Southwest Fecafoot boss Henry Njalla Quan II in showing interest to become a member of the Fecafoot executive committee.
Essa represented Cameroon multiple times in the Junior, Olympic, and Senior levels. He was part of the team that won the All African Games in Egypt in 1991. The charismatic President of Continental FA played a leading role in Cameroon qualifying for the 1994 world cup in the USA but was surprisingly overlooked by the Cameroon coach.
Now a business magnate and the financier of Southwest league Continental FA Essa have invested time and energies geared at producing the next generation of Cameroonian footballers.
There is a growing feeling that Essa’s valuable experience can be an asset once he assumes his rightful position at the national bureau
