Helsinki Marathon: Cameroon’s Mbarcha Eric Wins Fourth Crown.
Cameroon Professional Athlete, Mbacha Eric has emerged as the winner of the 2023 Helsinki Marathon in Finland.
The three-time Mount Cameroon Race of Hope winner, won the race in two hours, 26 minutes and 14 seconds in a 42-kilometre race on Saturday.
The Cameroonian edged Vilho Loukkalahti and Antti Hartikainen to win the marathon for the fourth consecutive time.
Meanwhile, Petra Kilpelainen won the Marathon in the women’s Category.
It should be noted that Mbacha Eric flee to Finland in 2019 after threats from Separatists, but he has continued with his career as a professional athlete – winning the Helsinki Marathon four times.
Mbacha Eric has won the Mount Cameroon Race of Hope three times: 2011, 2014 and 2019.
