- Elvis Nsanbila emerged as the winner of the men’s category in 4 hours, 32 minutes, overtaking record five time champions, Godlove Gabsibuim.
Three time champions Tata Carine is the winner of the 2022 edition of the Mount Cameroon Race Of Hope which took place today February 19, 2022.
The native of the Bui Division of the North West Region of Cameroon beats her immediate rivals Kitan Mildred to win the prestigious title in 5hours, 28 minutes.
Her win puts her in the club of women who have won the race four times (2018, 2019, 2020 & 2022). Though Sarah Liengu Etonge, Ngwang Catharine Ngwaya Yvonne have won the race more than four times, Tata Carine will be remembered this year for getting into the club of four time winners of the race in the female category.
Meanwhile, Elvis Nsanbila emerged as the winner of the men’s category in 4 hours, 32 minutes, overtaking record five time champions, Godlove Gabsibuim.
It should be noted that both Tata Carine and Elvis Nsanbila will take home the sum of 8.9 million Francs CFA instead of 10 million. This is because of the tax impose by the government on athletes in the country.
