The Semifinal pairings of this season’s South West Regional mini interpools have been completed after Isle of Hope Sports Academy(ISOSHA) and Kumba City booked their place in the Semis.
In the first game of the day, ISOSHA defeated Bright Stars Academy 2-0 to qualify for their first-ever semifinals.
Brandon Babo and Albert Tiku scored the two goals for the Limbe base side. Brandon Babo scored his seventh of the campaign, while Albert Tiku netted his fourth of the season.
Although Bright Stars showed a good account of themselves, their fairy tale campaign was short-lived.
In the second game, Kumba City sealed through after Keugoue scored a stoppage-time winner in extra time to beat Buea United 2-1 after 120 minutes of football.
Buea United had taken an early lead in the first half through Festus Kingsley who scored his sixth goal of the season – but was cancelled by Abena Jorda 10 minutes to full time as he netted his sixth goal of the season.
Buea United was reduced to 10 men after goalkeeper Jingo Nkemkcha received a second yellow card at stoppage time of extra time.
The victories for ISOSHA and Kumba City mean they complete the Semifinal pairings to take place on Wednesday as Njalla Quan SA takes on Kumba City while Istanbul FA battles ISOSHA of Limbe.
