The 2022 edition of the Geremi Njitap Challenge Cup on the starting blocks

The press conference that took place at the Regional branch of Les Brasseries du Cameroun (SABC) in Yaoundé, on Monday 20th, in preparation for the 9th edition of the Geremi Njitap Challenge Cup, in presence of  the participating teams had as objective to make known the practical modalities and rules that govern the game,so to make it a successful event.

The competition will consist of 8 teams(U15, 17,18 ) divided into two pools, of which each team will be constituted of 22 players ( 18 players and 2 goalkeepers).

The award of a red card to a coach, will lead to two games suspension. The actors will be given a new appropriate health team, to ensure that the kids are feed for the competition. And the measures against COVID-19, will be strictly regarded. As the wearing of face masks is obligatory.

Three elite teams notably Canon, Gazelle and Apejes will compete in this tournament. The objective is aimed at encouraging clubs involved in the training of young footballers.

The 9th edition of the Njitap Challenge Cup is hoisted in Yaoundé because Les Brasseries have as aimed to organize three tournaments in three big cities.

Remarkable Guest for the finals shall be the DTN, Nicolas Anoudji and Ndip Akem Victor.

At the end of the conference Jean Flaubert Nono made it clear, that all was set for the official kick-off the tournament at Mbankomo on Tuesday.
