Uzbekistan Humbles Cameroon In Pre – World Cup Friendly.
Cameroon’s indomitable lions have lost 0-2 to Uzbekistan in a pre-World cup friendly match today Friday, September 23, 2022, in South Korea.
Coach Rigobert Song went in for a 3-4-3 formation, with Bryan Mbuemo making his first senior debut for Cameroon, while Nicolas Nkoulou made his first appearance for Cameroon in close to five years.
The lions began with their normal domination of the game but created few chances in front of the goal.
The Asian Giants came with their game plan as they scored the first goal of the game in the 24th minute through Erkinov.
The lions continue to search for an equalizer but the game ended 1-0 at the interval.
The second half didn’t change the narrative of the first as Uzbekistan’s game plan of counter-attack paid off with the second goal through a substitute Oston Urunov at the 76th minute.
Rigobert Song and charges made attempts to pull one back but to no avail as the game ended 2-0 to Uzbekistan.
The next stop for Cameroon is against South Korea on September 27, 2022.
Cameroon is in Group G alongside Brasil, Serbia and Switzerland.
