Cameroon club FAP Yaoundè got off great starts in their opening Group C of Basketball Africa League Qualifiers on Friday in Yaoundè.

FAP Yaoundè opened their hot start to their debut in the Basketball African League within 82-57 victory over Tondema Basketball from the Central Africa Republic

The game between the two team was completely unbalanced. In this almost one-sided battle of the pachyderms, the Arm forces simply crushed the Tondema. A victory synonymous with sure qualification to the next round of the BAL qualifiers

The Forces Armèes et Police ( FAP) very early imposed their supremacy in this meeting against Tondema, by winning largely in the first two quarters (18-12 and 22-13). At halftime, the gap was already 15 points or 40-25 in favor of FAP. In the third quarter, it was the same scenario, Tondema, will collapse in front of a very fit Army Forces (26-20).

Arnold Kome and his teammates bring their festival to a close, also winning in the fourth and last quarter (16-12). At the referee’s final whistle, FAP Yaoundè led in front of Tondema Basketball with a clear score of 82-57, a 25-point gap.

In their game, they will meet DR Congo side Espoir Fukash who were on stand-by due to the disqualification of Malabo Kings from Equatorial Guinea. The game will take place on the 31 October at 17:00 CAT while Tondema Basketball will hope to bounce back and keep qualifications alive when they meet Espoir Fukash on the 30th October 2021
