Best Stars Defeats Aljazeera, Takeover Staff Of Office In Pool A.

Best Stars Academy of Limbe recorded another impressive win over group rivals – Aljazeera SA on a matchday 11 clash of the South West Regional Championship.

Substitute, Mbella Robinson’s 62nd-minute goal seals all three points for the champions as they overtake Aljazeera at the top of the Log.

Best Stars were reduced to 10 men – midway to the second half – as Corines Che was shown his marching orders for scoring his side’s second goal after being caught by the second assistant referee for offside.

With the numerical advantage, Aljazeera struggled to find an equalizer but to no avail as they surrender the first spot in Pool A.

The win for Best Stars means they top Pool A with 25 points – two clear of Aljazeera on the second spot with three games to go.

The next stop for Best Stars is against Tiko United, Aljazeera take on Little Foot of Tiko.
