The indomitable lions of Cameroon have earned their first World Cup point in 20 years as they fought back from two goals to draw in a six-goal thriller in Group G.
The five-time African Champions took the lead when Nicolas Nkoulou flicked on a corner and Jean Castelletto tapped in his first international goal for his country to put Cameroon in front.
The Balkan nation didn’t panic as they made the game easy in the last 10 minutes of the first half.
Serbia equalized through a header from Pavlovic to score his country’s first goal of the tournament to beat Cameroon Keeper Devis Eppassy with a low drive.
Then, Sergej Milinkovic -Savic scored the a beauty just out of the box to give Serbia a 2-1 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Fulham forward Alesksandar Mitrovic scored Serbia’s third goal of the game after being teed up by Dusan Tadic.
However, Substitute Vincent Aboubakar gave Cameroon hope when he scored arguably one of the best goals of the tournament after casually scooped the ball over Vanja Milinkovic-Savic to reduce Cameroon’s deficit to one goal in the game.
Three minutes later, Aboubakar beats the offside track again to set up Eric Maxim Choupo Moting who scored Cameroon’s equalizing goal.
The lions looked more dangerous after the equalising goal but Fulham’s Mitrovic had a glaring chance to put Serbia in front once again, as his shot was inches away from the target.
This is arguably the most entertaining match at the World Cup with a six-goal thriller as Cameroon ignites hope of qualifying for the round of 16 since 1990.
Cameroon plays Brazil in their final group G game on Friday, while Serbia takes on Switzerland.
