Colonel Joseph Feutcheu has resigned as a member of the Fecafoot Executive Committee.
This was in a letter dated June 10, lamenting the fact his club, Djiko FC of Bandjoun were relegated to the second-tier championship without playing any match – saying it is against the competition’s rules.
“My club Djiko FC Bandjoun classified 7th out of 11 on the 22nd day of the National Championship and was later relegated to the Second Division without any match played”, a portion of the letter reads.

He further claimed the Fecafoot boss for failing to submit his case to the Executive Committee.
” If you had submitted my case before the executive committee that you represent, a judicious solution would have been taken about my case”, he lamented
His resignation adds to two other Fecafoot Exco members: Gubai Gaitama and Kwemo Safia who have been suspended.
Why Djiko Was Relegated Without Playing a Match
On April 7th, 2023, Avion Academy won a qualification protest against Collins Achet Achi, who was adjudged to have illegally participated in the victory of UMS of Loum.
The decision of the Nkengni-led commission was later overturned as Kick442 reported in April that the decision to award Avion three points was overturned by the same institution.
However, the body maintained the portion of the April 5 decision to sanction UMS of Loum by deducting three points but modified the decision saying that Avion doesn’t get the three points deducted as per article 138 of the Competition’s regulation.
The decision reduced Avion’s point tally to 19 points in Pool A with one game to go. Avion’s win against Aigle on the final day only took them to 22 points – but had already filed a complaint to the National Conciliation Commission of the Cameroon Olympic Chamber. The body annulled the decision of the Nkengni-led commission to award Avion three points.
With Avion on 25 points, they overtook Djiko FC and Eding on the log and consequently, Djiko FC was relegated directly to the MTN Elite two championship, while Eding who was already safe was dragged into the relegation play-off clash against YOSA.
