Lovis Kimbi Hits Brace As NQSA Humbles Prisons At Molyko Stadium.

Lovis Kimbi scores a brace as Njalla Quan Sports Academy came from a goal down to defeat Prisons of Buea 2-1 in a day 10 clash of the ongoing South West Regional league at the Molyko Omnsports Stadium.

The Bimbia boys who are winless in their last three encounters – were hoping to bounce back to winning way but conceded first in the game following brilliant strike from Prisons’ Talisman – Sameh Mbolem at the 10th minute to put the homeboys in front.

Though one goal down, the academicians dominated possession as they mount pressure on the Prison defence. The homeboys however tightened up their defence in order not to concede as they maintained their lead at halftime.

Going into the second half, the boys of coach Edwin Teteh increased their hunger and quest for only their fourth win of the campaign. They finally got their way as they were awarded a penalty – which was brilliantly converted by star man Lovis Kimbi.

 

At 1-1 pressure heightened in the Prison Camp as talisman and captain – Sameh Mbolem was shown his marching orders for poor conduct.

Being one man down – and with close to 30 minutes to go, Njalla Quan’s search for all three points became a reality as Lovis Kimbi completed his brace to award the Bimbia boys only their fourth win of the campaign.

The win puts the Limbe Base side on 17 points in 10 matches, while Prisons stay on 13 points in 10 matches.

Next stop for NQSA is against Little Foot, while Prisons take on TERMSTA.
