South West Regional outfit Continental Football Academy has witnessed an improvement in their performance this season despite not qualifying for the Regional playoffs.
The Gra Gra boys finished third in Pool C with 23 points, just three points behind last year’s finalists Best Stars Academy – a milestone which they failed to achieve last season when they finished at the sixth spot with just 16 points.

At the Center of the club’s success, this season is coach Enow George who took over from coach Bawack in the summer of 2021. His first season at the club was a nightmare as he led the team to 6th spot with just 16 points last term.
Despite their poor outing last season, the young tactician says the team is a walk in progress.
“I had a project to build a youthful continental FA. Last year it was difficult but this year we finished in the third spot ahead of Cinyodev. We also succeeded in beating Tiko United and Best Stars Academy who immerged first and second. This shows the team is a walk in progress “, said coach Enow George.
When asked about his secret this season, coach Enow George said he always studies his opponents before matchdays.
“I use 4:5;1 as my principal formation.
I love playing tactical football and mostly free-flow passing football. I love using very young players who are mobile.

“My tactics is that I love studying my opponent very well before my game n play mostly on their weaknesses. Style of play is building from the back short n long balls depending on my plan for the day
Coach Enow George is one of the few coaches that have adopted the free-flow passing football – the system adopted by coach Tetteh Edwin and Djeufack Saturine of Best Stars Academy of Limbe.
Coach Enow George’s target for next season is to pick up a mini inter-pool ticket for the club and probably represent the Region at the National Interpools. The last time Continental Football Academy qualified for the Regional playoffs was in 2021.
Coach Enow George is not only a football trainer but also a teacher and a sports Consultant.
