The Bafang Municipal Stadium that hosted matchday 14 clash of the MTN Elite two football championship between Unisport and Victoria United has been suspended indefinitely.
The game ended prematurely after fans stormed the pitch and violently attacked match officials after a penalty was awarded to Victoria United at stoppage time.
Unisport took the lead midway through the second half courtesy of David Caleb, but at the 92nd minute, referee Boyomo Biguemi awarded a penalty to Victoria United after Samuel Nzelle brought down Mbome Ellias in the penalty box.
The fans of Unisport couldn’t hold their emotions as they stormed the pitch and violently attacked the match officials: Boyomo Biguemi, Mpande Mpou and Wandja Stephane – leading to the premature end of the game.
Hours later, the President of Unisport of Haut Nkam – Jacques Donald Ngamenie in a communique condemned the act committed by the home fans.

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Transitional Council of Professional football Gaustin Blaise Mbida issued a communique on Monday suspending the venue from all competitions.
