CO-SPONSOR Guinness Super League campaign: Fecafoot and the LFFC seeking new partners

In order to make Cameroonian ladies shine more through women’s football, Guinness Cameroon supports the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) and the Cameroon Women’s Football League (LFFC) in the search for additional sponsors.

Since 2020, Guinness Cameroon has given itself the challenge of making millions of Cameroonians shine. To date, more than 11 million people are interested in women’s football. The players enjoy playing on pitches of international standards with a greater visibility.

In the following press release, the brand sponsor of Cameroon football unveils its plan of action for the weekend:

LET’S MAKE WOMEN SHINE BRIGHTEST

Brands do not support women’s football enough. However, since November 2020, the Guinness brand has taken up the challenge of making millions of Cameroonian women shine through football. Through this sport, which has almost become the prime sport in our country, it intends to move the lines on gender equality and thus promote the reduction of inequalities against women.

 

In just two years, the results are palpable.

  • More than 11 million people are interested in women’s football, with more than 10 million getting information every month
  • For the first time, parents have shown real support for their daughters through the ‘Her Home Advantage’ campaign
  • The players have moved from unplayable pitches to international standard stadiums like their male counterparts with nearly a thousand spectators during each And this is just the beginning.
  • In addition, the Guinness Superleague receives approximately 375 minutes of media exposure per week on our local radio and television Helping to bridge the media gap between men’s and women’s football

Proud of these results and with the ambition of making women shine brightest, the Guinness brand has decided to accompany the Cameroon Football Federation and the Cameroon Women’s Football League in the search for additional sponsors. To do so, it will bring together other local companies by inviting them to seize the opportunities offered by the Guinness Super League.

The launching ceremony of the “CALL FOR CO-SPONSORS” campaign will take place this Friday, March 31 in a hotel in Douala.

This campaign to find additional sponsors will feature Guinness Super League players and major actors of women football through a TV spot.
