The Cameroonian volleyball calendar is about to hit its most electric stretch of the year. This weekend, eight clubs from across the country descend on the Mfandena Multisports Gymnasium in Yaoundé for the Senior Play-Offs of the 2025/2026 season, with matches running across Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May 2026.
The announcement came from Dr Deris Meh, Secretary General of the Fédération Camerounaise de Volleyball (Fecavolley), who called on the entire volleyball community to rally behind the event and ensure it runs without a hitch. A technical meeting for all participating clubs was scheduled for Friday 29 May at Fecavolley’s headquarters in the Dragage neighbourhood, giving teams one final opportunity to align on logistics before the first whistle blows.
Four men’s sides have entered the competition: Port Autonome de Douala, Cameroun Sport Volleyball, Litto Team Volleyball, and Forces Armées et Police. The women’s draw features Litto Team Volleyball, Mayo Kani Evolution, Anna Mèches Volleyball, and Forces Armées et Police. Notably, both Litto Team Volleyball and Forces Armées et Police have fielded squads in both categories, which adds a certain intrigue to the weekend as those clubs chase glory on two fronts simultaneously.
Play gets underway at 8 o’clock on Saturday morning, with the women’s matches kicking things off. Litto Team Volleyball face Forces Armées et Police in the opening fixture, before Mayo Kani Evolution take on Anna Mèches Volleyball. The men follow, with Port Autonome de Douala squaring up against Forces Armées et Police, and Cameroun Sport Volleyball locking horns with Litto Team Volleyball. A further four matches round out the day’s programme as the round-robin format gives every team multiple outings before the dust settles.
Sunday’s session begins at 10 in the morning and carries the weightier feel that comes with a tournament reaching its latter stages. Forces Armées et Police meet Anna Mèches Volleyball in the women’s fixture, while Litto Team Volleyball face Mayo Kani Evolution. On the men’s side, Cameroun Sport Volleyball go up against Forces Armées et Police, and Litto Team Volleyball close the weekend out against Port Autonome de Douala.
