AFCON2023 Qualifiers : Algeria and Cameroon To Meet Again

Algeria Foot – The indomitable lions of Cameroon will certainly meet the Algerian team this Wednesday, June 8, 2022 in Dar Es Salam in Tanzania. The coincidence of the calendar wanted the teams to meet on the same day in the same venue, but not at the same time.

Indeed, Burundi, the team that Cameroon will face for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers, having no stadium approved by CAF, has chosen to play its matches in Tanzania. As part of the second day of these qualifiers, Cameroon will face Burundi on June 8 at 2:00 p.m in the Tanzanian capital, at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium, the same venue where the Algerian team will face the home team at 4:00 p.m. It is clear that the two selections will meet in the dressing room.

The Algerian team expects the unexcepted.
However, it is not the reunion that is the problem but rather the state of the pitch after 90 minutes of play.  If we take a look at the history of matches between the Algerian team and Tanzania, the Fennecs have never won in Dar Es Salem. Wednesday’s game could be the occasion for a first victory there. But Belmadi says he is suspicious given that the Tanzanian team has evolved in quality.
