Cameroon’s Basketball Lions gear to Victory: A Promising Start Ahead of FIBA Men’s AfroBasket 2025

The Cameroon national basketball team showcased their prowess against the Mali Eagles in an exhilarating friendly match, securing a convincing 16-point victory. The match, held as part of their preparations for the upcoming FIBA Men’s AfroBasket 2025, saw Cameroon dominate through three quarters, setting a positive tone for the rest of their training camp.

From the outset, the Lions made their intentions clear. The first quarter ended with a score of 21-16 in favour of Cameroon. The second quarter saw the Lions ramp up their performance, outscoring their opponents 19-12 and the third quarter was no different, as Cameroon continued their momentum with another impressive 21-12, demonstrating their ability to control the game. However, Mali rallied in the final quarter, outscoring Cameroon 24-19.

While this late surge highlighted areas for improvement, it was not enough to overshadow the overall dominance displayed by the Lions.
