CHAN 2023 Q: Saidou Alioum Summons 25 Home-Base Lions Ahead Of Eq. Guinea Double Header.

The head coach of Cameroon’s intermediate lions, Alioum Saidou has summoned 25-home base lions ahead of the African Nations Championship qualifying double-header against Equatorial Guinea later this month.

The list comprises four goalkeepers, Eight defenders, eight midfielders and five attackers.

Former Coton Sports of Garoua goalkeeper, Anye Derick and top scorer of the just-ended elite one championship Adulf Enow Nkembe are the biggest absentees. The former has signed for South African side Maritzburg United, while the latter signed for the Mexican top-flight side.

While the lights of Che Malong, Moukoko Alain, Houzaifi Youssoufa, Sime Prince, Felix Oukine, Wassou Patience, Marou Souiabou and joined the top scorer of the just ended elite one championship, Bertrand Mani of Colombe of Dja and Lobo made the list.

The team is set to begin their camping this week as they hunt for a spot in Next year’s African Nations Championship in Algeria.

The first leg comes up on August 28, 2022, in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
