Cup Of CMR Prelims: Saints Tame Lions As Pen Shootout Separates Samba And Cinyodev.

The Second round  preliminaries of the Southwest Cup of Cameroon has been played in stadia across the region today, Saturday, June 25, 2022.

At the Ngeme Annex stadium in Limbe, Catholic University SA ousted Ajax Lions 2-1 as they record a 13th win in all competitions this season. Goals from team captain, Valerie Baka and Mborong ensured the saints and scholars’ qualification to the penultimate round of the competition.

Still at the Ngeme Annex Stadium, Tiko United defeated Cinyodev Football Academy of Buea 9-8 after post-match penalties as they continue their hunt for one of the two available slots for the South West at the Cup of Cameroon. The game ended 1-1 after 90 minutes.

In Kumba, it was Kumba City FC that defeated Bright Stars 3-2 to seal through to the third round of the competition. Eta Theophilus scored a brace for Kumba City FC as they continue to shine this season.
