Danny Jordaan Re-Elected As SAFA President For A Third Term.

The incumbent president of the South African Football Association – Danny Jordaan has been re-elected president following an overwhelming victory on Saturday afternoon.

This was during the SAFA Congress held at the Sandton Convention Centre today Saturday, June 25, 2022, with Jordaan going up against Ria Ledwaba and Solly Mohlabeng.

At the end of the votes, the incumbent won by an overwhelming majority of 186 votes. Ledwaba received 27 votes and Mohlabeng had eight votes.

The win for Jordaan means he will serve a third term as President of the country’s football house.

The 70-year-old was first elected as President in 2013 and came up with plans to take South African football to another level. But many are still not convinced that he is still the man to take South African football to another level.

However with the landslide victory, many are still convinced that Jordaan is the right man to lead South African football to the promised land.

Ledwaba, one of the candidates for the hot seat and who served as vice president under Jordaan in the last four years, will no longer be part of the association. She has been a member of the FA for years but stated that she will focus on other issues if she is not elected as president of the FA.
