DOMINANT DISPLAY: Littoral Teams Sweep into Cameroon Cup Volleyball Finals

Port Volleyball and Litto Team have secured their spots in the 2025 Cameroon Cup finals after commanding performances in the semifinals. Both teams from the Littoral region claimed decisive 3-0 victories, setting up an exciting all-Littoral showdown.

The matches were held under the watchful eyes of several dignitaries, including the SDO of the MIFI division, the Regional Delegate of Sports and Physical Education, and the West Legion Gendarmerie Brigade Commander (a former volleyball player himself). Adding international prestige to the event was the President of the Central African Republic Volleyball Federation, who attended as the guest of honour.

In the first semifinal, powerhouse Port Volleyball made quick work of Cameroon Sport with a straight-sets victory (25-23, 25-16, 25-17). Despite a closely contested first set, Port Volleyball found its rhythm and dominated the match.

The second semifinal between Litto Team and Club Efoulan proved more competitive, though it also ended in a sweep. Litto Team started cautiously, fielding their reserve players to test their opponents. This strategy didn’t slow them down as they crushed Club Efoulan 25-12 in just eight minutes in the opening set.

Club Efoulan showed more fight in the second set, even pulling ahead 14-12 at one point. However, Litto Team regrouped to take the set 25-22 after a hard-fought battle.

The third set saw Club Efoulan matching Litto Team point for point early on, reaching a 15-15 tie before Litto Team pulled away to win 25-20, completing their sweep.

Volleyball fans can look forward to the highly anticipated final between these Littoral rivals, scheduled for June on a date yet to be announced.
