SWRL: Coach Enow George Changing The Narratives At Continental FA.

Continental Football Academy is witnessing their best run of form for the first time since the 2020/21 season as they are on a four-game unbeaten run in the ongoing South West Regional championship.

The club has accumulated 10 points in six league matches this season – six points better of than last season at this stage of the championship.

The brain behind this change in fortune at the  club is Coach Enow George, who is in his second spell at the club. Despite the club’s disappointing performance last season – which saw the club accumulate just 16 points from 14 matches, President Issa Pius gave the gaffer confidence to head the team this season.

Although the team suffered two defeats in their opening two league matches, coach Enow George Aka Coach Tactics was able to change the narrative of the club. The club will then record three wins, plus a draw as they enter into contention for one of the available tickets for the mini interpools.

Continental FA

Continental FA occupies the second spot in Pool B behind Pool leaders Tiko United, but could see them drop to the fifth spot if Cinyodev and Best Stars win their delayed matches.

However, Coach Enow George says he will correct the mistakes of the first two defeats in the second round, as he still has as objective to qualify for the Regional playoffs.

Coach Enow George told sports24.cm that his side’s strength is based on team performance and not individual brilliance.

“I don’t pinpoint any player as a top player in my team. I don’t see Jefter as my key player or the main strength behind Continental, because if we do that, we would put the player under pressure. If you hold Jefter, Alfred will score and if you hold Alfred, Nkwelle will score and see my players as equals”, Said Coach Enow George.

“I build my team collectively because football is a collective game. That is why I don’t rely on a particular player. We play as a team and as a unit.

Continental FA have recorded 10 points, scoring nine goals and conceded nine in six matches, and will be looking forward to qualify for the mini interpools for the first time in two seasons.
