SWRL: Fako United Extends Unbeaten Run To Six Games, Moves Within Three Pts Behind ISOSHA.

Newly promoted SouthWest Regional League side Fako United have beaten Pool leaders ISOSHA 1-0 at the Molyko Omnisports Stadium – to move within three points at the summit of Pool C.

Joseph Mokete scored his eighth goal of the season as the Njoku Boys extend their unbeaten run to six games in the league.

The Molyko Omnisports Stadium played host to another top-of-the-table clash in Pool C between the first and second-placed sides in the Pool.

ISOSHA are yet to taste defeat in the league this term as the boys of Nlend Emile picked up 20 points in eight games. One of the victories during this run was against Fako United on matchday three, but the Njoku Boys haven’t lost any game since that defeat to ISOSHA as they have gone six games unbeaten since then.

The Buea base side was looking for a second consecutive win as Joseph Mokete scored the lone goal of the game in the ninth minute, as goalkeeper Ebanga Francios kept his second clean sheet this season.

The victory for Fako United is their fourth in nine league games this season as they move to 17 points in the Pool C log – three points behind leaders ISOSHA.

The Limbe base side missed the opportunity to go nine points clear at the top of the Pool.

The group is now technically a three-horse race as Option Sports Academy leaves no stone unturned as they defeated Prisons FC 5-1 in the other Pool C encounter.

The top three of Pool C stand as follows: ISOSHA tops with 20 points – followed by Fako United with 17 points and Option Sports with 16 points.
