Victoria United Go Five Points Clear At The Top Of The Elite Two Table.

Victoria United have beaten Tonnerre of Yaounde 3-1 to go five points clear at the top of the MTN Elite two table.

The game took place at Annex B of the Olembe Sports Complex on Monday, 20 March. Djacba Junior opened the scoring six minutes before the interval to put the visitors in front.

Kylian Tchuente will score his first goal for Victoria United as the visitors doubled their lead, and then Toni Bin Bassong ended his nine-game goal drought to score his seventh league goal of the season.

The home side pulled one back but was inconsequential as the game ended 3-1 for the league leaders.

The win means this is the fourth away win for coach Guy Kamguia and his troops as they go five points clear of second place Stade Bertoua on 29 points.
