Victoria United defender, Tchuente Kylian has been preselected by head coach Alioum Saidou ahead of the 2024 African Nations Championship qualifiers.
The list consists of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders and eight forwards.

This is the first call-up for the Opopo left-back as he hopes to be selected in the final list. Ever since joining Victoria United last season, Tchuente has been one of the key pillars of the defence wall of the Elite Two Champions.
The versatile defender played close to 18 league games for Victoria United, as the club secured promotion to the Elite One football championship next season. He is quick, composed with the ball, good in crosses, and able to anticipate danger.
This is not the first Victoria United player that has been preselected this season for a national call-up, as 17-year-old Ekosse Njuma was preselected for the U17 Lions ahead of the just-ended UNIFFAC tournament.
It should be noted that no player from the four teams that made it to the Elite One playoffs was drafted in the list. However, there are some popular names on the list like PWD’s Lionel Ateba and Yong Sports Academy’s John Bosco.
