Cameroon Unveils Official Logo for U-20 Women’s Volleyball Championship Yaoundé 2025

Cameroon has officially unveiled the logo for the upcoming U-20 Women’s Volleyball Championship, with the tournament set to begin in just four days in Yaoundé. The unveiling on Tuesday, July 29, takes a further step in how the country is setting up for a major sport event.

The logo captures in an awe-inspiring manner, a striking combination of beauty, purity, and simplicity—three undercurrents that well describe this continental spectacle.

A Design Steeped in African Pride

The focal point is the map of the African continent which stands to highlight the continental nature of the competition. Inside this outline is a player wearing a jersey of the national colours of Cameroon with the number ‘1’ emblazoned on it. This goes to serve as an identity of the hosting country and also represents that great attack with which Cameroon hopes to box itself atop the podium.
Prominent at the top of the design are the logos of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB), and the Cameroonian Volleyball Federation (FECAVOLLEY), underscoring the event’s institutional significance. Meanwhile, the dates and locations are prominently displayed in both French and English, reflecting Cameroon’s rich bilingual heritage.
This logo represents more than just visual branding – it’s a cocktail of colours and imagery that radiates the warm hospitality for which Cameroon is renowned. The nation stands ready to welcome for the first time on its soil, this youth tournament with open arms, hosting teams from Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Morocco and Senegal.
