Cameroon’s volleyball landscape is changing dramatically. Federation president Bello Bourdanne has created a groundbreaking new position – Regional Volleyball Coach for each gender – and today announced the full roster of appointees across all ten regions of the country.
The decision empowers regional leagues across the country. These coaches will serve as the focal point for youth volleyball development in their regions, working directly under regional league presidents.
Regional Coaches Appointed Nationwide
In a significant development formalized through Decision N° 005/FECAVOLLEY/PDT of 7th April 2025, the Federation has appointed qualified coaches respecting gender equality in each region:
ADAMAWA REGION
- WATAKSA Julien: Female regional coach (FIVB Level 2 Coach)
- GOUANE Alain Zoly: Male regional coach (FIVB Level 3 Coach)
CENTRE REGION
- DJOUMEKOUM TAGAKOU Edith Christine: Female regional coach (FIVB Level 2 Coach)
- NTOLO Orphet: Male regional coach (FIVB Level 2 Coach)
EAST REGION
- AMAH Grey Divine: Female regional coach (Senior Sports and Physical Education Teacher)
- ADJOBOUMO MBANE Paul Freddy: Male regional coach (Volleyball Instructor)
FAR NORTH REGION
- VATSIA Richard: Female regional coach (FIVB Level 2 Coach)
- BESSOUO Eric Valère: Female regional coach (FIVB Level 2 Coach)
LITTORAL REGION
- DJANDA KAMDOUM Berlin Vanceslas: Female regional coach (FIVB Level 2 Coach)

Mission and Impact
Their mission is clear and ambitious. They must implement youth volleyball development policies within regional leagues and support the sport’s growth in schools. These coaches will promote, supervise, organize, develop, and coordinate volleyball across all age categories.
Talent identification is a key priority. The coaches will scout promising players in training centers and schools, creating a pipeline of future stars.
This strategic move aims to decentralize power and increase operational efficiency. Regional leagues now have more authority as the secular arms of the Cameroon Volleyball Federation (Fecavolley).
The Federation has confirmed that all appointees will receive the full benefits provided by the regulations in force. This comprehensive national coaching framework represents a step toward grassroots development and sustainable growth for Cameroon volleyball.
